On IB Art
- Rebekka:
- I jsut keep pumping out kind of crappy art with shallow interpretations
- andy.:
- that's what the IB wants from you. must analyze. interpret. copy. but not copy. be creative
- Rebekka:
- yeah. I know. urgh
- andy.:
- but base it on something
- Rebekka:
- yeah. cause duh, we can't be original.
- andy.:
- that wouldn't have any research behind it would it
- Rebekka:
- no no no! how frustrating.
- andy.:
- indeed.
- Rebekka:
- It frustrates me to end. I want to just MAKE SHIT.
- andy.:
- same here
- Rebekka:
- writing this fucking book forces me to stop
- andy.:
- "but you can't make shit without knowing about it"
- Rebekka:
- which ruins my flow
- andy.:
- i know, i already bought a canvas to paint on, but i can't cus i have to do the book
- Rebekka:
- yeah
- Rebekka:
- I mean, I understand why they want us to do it.
- Rebekka:
- They want us to map, and learn, and grow and whatnot.
- Rebekka:
- but I don't like the fact that I spend more time on the book then on my actual art.
- Rebekka:
- If I get an image or line of text in my head I'll jot it down or just make it.
- andy.:
- aha
- Rebekka:
- Pulling out the book and stopping to think about HOW DAMN UNORIGINAL WE ARE DOES NOT BODE WELL WITH ME.
